Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients safely using proper techniques.
- Prepare meals and assist patients with eating according to dietary restrictions.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, sanitized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and nursing staff regarding patient status.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in the state of North Carolina.
- Current state license to practice as a CNA.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
