Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history assessments accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Administer injections, EKGs, and assist with phlebotomy as required.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with insurance companies.
- Support the nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care in both in-person and virtual settings.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for hybrid or remote work options.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
