Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and basic health screenings with precision and empathy.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, preparing instruments and maintaining sterility.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, ensuring all patient data is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and prescription renewals via phone and email.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician’s office or clinic setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
