Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history collection with accuracy and empathy.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth clinical workflow.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control standards.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Process lab specimens, handle phlebotomy, and coordinate diagnostic testing.
- Fax, scan, and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Answer patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
