Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations during night shift
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless patient care
- Respond to patient inquiries and emergencies per protocol
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR experience a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing overnight workflow demands
- Valid NY State Driver's License (if required for travel between sites)
