Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record accurate data in EHR systems.
- Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and injections in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and verify insurance information.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment and medical equipment.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally and resolve issues with a focus on customer service.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Certified in BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
