Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs assessment and patient intake during overnight shifts
- Assist providers with clinical procedures including EKG, injections, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments for overnight procedures
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively between departments
- Administer medications under provider supervision with accurate documentation
- Respond to emergency situations following hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and medication administration
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes overnight
- Valid Texas MA license and immunization records up to date
