As a Medical Assistant on the night shift, you will be the first point of contact for our nocturnal patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while supporting our clinical staff. Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor medical procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and update patient charts accurately.
- Administer medications and vaccines under strict physician supervision.
- Screen patients for incoming flu and COVID-19 symptoms.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience working the night shift preferred.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs.
