Responsibilities
- Assist Physicians: Provide direct support to doctors and nurse practitioners during patient examinations and procedures.
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and prepare patients for their appointments.
- Clinical Tasks: Measure vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and assist with basic lab tests.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments, update medical records, and handle insurance verification.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict hygiene standards and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Patient Education: Explain treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions clearly to patients.
- Equipment Management: Ensure examination rooms are stocked, clean, and ready for patient use.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We are looking for candidates eager to learn and grow.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and comfort with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
