Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist providers during patient visits, ensuring accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Perform basic laboratory duties, including phlebotomy and specimen collection, following strict safety protocols.
- Manage patient flow in the front office, including scheduling appointments and handling insurance verification.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in examination rooms and treatment areas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn medical software quickly.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new medical procedures and technologies.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
