Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and hospital standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses to therapy.
- Respond promptly to code blue alerts and emergency situations with composure and clinical expertise.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and discharge planning.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by strictly adhering to infection control and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred; new graduates with excellent clinical rotation history will be considered.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and move for extended periods as required by the nursing role.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer technology.
