Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, medical history reviews, and basic physical assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations by a physician or nurse practitioner.
- Assist with basic laboratory procedures, including blood draws and specimen collection.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and prescription renewals.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding health services.
- Ensure the examination room is clean, stocked, and sanitized in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Proficiency in using computerized medical software and office equipment.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
