Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, including medical history reviews and vital signs monitoring.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs as required.
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software is a plus.
