Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and administer medications
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain patient records
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communication
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Train new staff on clinical protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification and current immunization records
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Texas state license or willingness to obtain immediately
