Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Sterilize equipment and maintain examination rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong venipuncture and injection skills
- Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- North Carolina state MA license required
