Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Obtain and record vital signs and patient medical histories accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare samples for analysis.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and wellness plans.
- Manage patient flow to ensure an efficient and organized clinic experience.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
