What You Will Do:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the bridge between our patients and our medical staff. You will ensure our patients receive the highest quality care while maintaining a welcoming and organized clinic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies for patient visits.
  • Assist providers with patient examinations, including taking vitals, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for procedures.
  • Perform and document routine laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs accurately.
  • Greet patients, verify demographics and insurance information, and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
  • Administer medications as directed by providers and document patient responses.
  • Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
  • Provide patient education and instructions regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
  • Current New York State Medical Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for top candidates.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
