Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with gowns, drapes, and positioning, and by interviewing them to obtain medical histories and vital signs.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and draw blood samples as directed by physicians.
- Update and file patient medical records.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring instruments and equipment are clean and ready.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor surgical procedures.
- Provide patient education on preventive care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous medical assistant experience is not required; we provide training!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- CPR certification is a plus (can be obtained during training).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for clinic visits if applicable).
