Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and updating medical records.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
- Ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans and instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
