Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures, including ECGs, injections, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinic efficiency
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid Washington DC MA license
