Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight monitoring.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to maintain infection control standards.
- Manage patient intake, including verifying insurance information and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer basic medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and communicate test results accurately.
Qualifications
- Current CMA or RMA certification (or equivalent) required.
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting (new graduates with internships considered).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
