Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical condition, identifying changes that may require immediate intervention.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care management.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and quality of care.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
