Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, medical history reviews, and initial intakes accurately and efficiently.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize medical instruments to maintain strict hygiene standards.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy (blood draws) as required by state regulations.
- Manage and maintain patient medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records software.
- Current State of Texas license (if applicable to specific duties).
