Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and maintain accurate medical records
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle insurance verification and front desk duties
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with specialty departments for seamless care
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification
- BLS/CPR certification required
- 1+ years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to cover varied weekend shifts
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
