Responsibilities
- Perform routine clinical duties including taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, and recording patient data.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with draping, gowns, and positioning.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by physicians.
- Assist providers during physical examinations and procedures.
- Perform EKGs and basic laboratory tests as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or specialty office.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
