Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and patient assessments
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care protocols
- Handle front desk operations including scheduling, insurance verification, and billing support
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification and NY state phlebotomy license
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently in remote/hybrid environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation
