- Submit and follow up on insurance claims for optimal reimbursement
- Review and code medical diagnoses/procedures using ICD-10/CPT
- Manage patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Utilize Epic and NextGen billing software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems
