Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service rendering
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and accounts receivable
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing policies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Deep knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with denial analysis and appeals management
- Familiarity with RCM best practices and revenue cycle optimization
