Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies within SLAs
- Manage patient payment plans and collections
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and coding guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical teams for charge capture optimization
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership
- Stay current with CMS and payer policy changes
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in physician practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency with Epic, eClinicalWorks, or NextGen systems
- Strong analytical skills for complex claim resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced healthcare environment
- Associates degree in healthcare administration or related field
