Responsibilities
- Review and process medical claims with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients
- Submit electronic claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers
- Follow up on denied claims and appeals with insurance carriers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills for claim resolution
- Excellent communication with patients and insurance providers
- Ability to handle 50+ claims daily with attention to detail
