Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Analyze EOBs and resolve claim denials within 48 hours
- Perform accurate CPT/ICD-10 coding for 50+ daily patient encounters
- Conduct patient billing audits and payment plan negotiations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Collaborate with physicians to clarify ambiguous documentation
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in Epic Resolute and Medisoft billing systems
- Advanced knowledge of California Medicaid (Medi-Cal) policies
- Proven ability to manage high-volume accounts receivable
- Strong analytical skills with 95% claim accuracy rate
- Experience with RCM analytics tools like Change Healthcare
