Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits using provided EHR systems
- Follow up on claim denials and rejections to ensure timely reimbursement
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Analyze aging reports and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience with Epic or EHR platforms
- Strong attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment
