Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery
- Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all patient records
Qualifications
- Active NY State Dental Assistant certification
- 2+ years of chairside experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography systems
- CPR certification (current)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Dental software proficiency (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
