Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance payers (CMS-1500 forms) with high accuracy.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services rendered.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Review and correct rejected or denied claims to maximize revenue.
- Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and statements in a professional manner.
- Utilize medical billing software (EHR) to maintain patient records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Medical Billing or related field is a plus.
- Willingness to participate in our comprehensive paid training program.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations is preferred.
