Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean medical claims to insurance payers with 95% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorizations prior to services
- Resolve claim denials and underpayments within 15-day SLA
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Conduct monthly AR analysis and aging reports for department leadership
- Train staff on new billing codes and regulatory updates
- Collaborate with providers to ensure accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- 3+ years medical billing experience in physician practice or clinic setting
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic or EHR billing platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
