Responsibilities

- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Conduct thorough claim audits and resolve denials within SLAs
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document accurate coding information
- Generate monthly financial reports and aging accounts receivable
- Train staff on billing software updates and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficient with Epic, Athenahealth, or NextGen EHR platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Excellent communication for resolving payer disputes
- Ability to manage high-volume claims in fast-paced environments
- Associate degree in health information management preferred
