Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance carriers and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and appeals through precise documentation
- Conduct regular account reconciliations and AR follow-ups
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure coding accuracy
- Utilize Epic EHR and medical billing software efficiently
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency with medical billing software (Epic, Athena, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
