Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Denial analysis and appeals management for rejected claims
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS regulations
- Resolve billing discrepancies through payer and provider communication
- Optimize revenue cycle management through coding accuracy
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
- Train staff on billing system updates and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent credential required
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
