Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies within 24-hour turnaround
- Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and coding compliance
- Manage denial resolution and appeal processes for rejected claims
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Utilize Epic and Medisoft systems for billing and coding operations
- Conduct monthly billing reconciliations and financial reporting
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture accuracy
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Biller (CMB) or CPC certification required
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in outpatient setting
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong analytical skills with 99%+ claims accuracy track record
- Ability to manage high-volume billing cycles efficiently
