Responsibilities
- Review and submit medical claims to insurance providers (Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid) with high accuracy and minimal denials.
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies, answer inquiries, and process payments.
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Billing Software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner) to manage patient data and billing cycles.
- Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding claims, and prepare appeals for denied claims.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality of all patient information.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist in revenue cycle analysis.
- Collaborate with the front desk and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient registration and financial clearance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Billing, Healthcare Administration, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in administrative support, customer service, or data entry is preferred but not mandatory for our training program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and basic computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to complete the provided paid training curriculum.
