Responsibilities
- Verify and validate patient insurance information and eligibility before services are rendered.
- Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance carriers (CMS-1500 forms).
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and appeal as necessary.
- Review and post payments, adjustments, and patient balances.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their statements and financial responsibilities.
- Assist in maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR) and filing systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare billing regulations.
Qualifications
