Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through comprehensive physical exams and health histories.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress to ensure safe and effective care.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
