Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor, ensuring all necessary forms are completed accurately.
- Manage the front desk operations, including answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, and coordinating daily workflow.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and process co-pays efficiently.
- Maintain and update patient medical records in our EMR system with high attention to detail and strict adherence to HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth flow of patient transitions from reception to exam rooms.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Receptionist certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical or dental front desk setting.
- Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with the utmost discretion.
