Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Greet patients warmly upon arrival and check them in efficiently using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Scheduling: Manage and update patient appointment schedules, including rescheduling and confirming appointments via phone and email.
- Communication: Answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner, answer patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate medical staff.
- Administrative Support: Process new patient registrations, update demographic information, and file medical records accurately.
- Insurance Verification: Assist in verifying patient insurance coverage and explaining benefits to patients before their visit.
- Payment Processing: Collect copays and process payments securely at the front desk.
- General Support: Maintain a clean and organized reception area and assist other office staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior medical experience required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; bilingual (English and Hawaiian/Asian languages) is a plus.
