Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient conditions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth clinical workflow.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly following safety protocols.
- Document patient care plans, medical histories, and treatment records thoroughly and legibly.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care instructions, medication management, and disease prevention.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and requests for assistance, maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
