Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance to ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Support patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulating safely using proper body mechanics.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in accordance with facility policies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure the patient environment is clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a current, active, and unencumbered CNA license in the state of Missouri.
- BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
