As a key member of our overnight clinical staff, you'll support physicians and nurses in delivering high-quality care while maintaining seamless operations during overnight shifts. Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments during overnight shifts
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document electronic health records accurately
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic lab tests as ordered
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and equipment in compliance with infection control standards
- Coordinate patient flow and communication between departments during overnight hours
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently per facility protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
