Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and vital sign monitoring during overnight shifts
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations in emergency and routine settings
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with meticulous attention
- Coordinate patient care across departments during critical overnight transitions
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain safety standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and post-care instructions
- Respond to urgent patient calls and triage situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification and ability to maintain throughout employment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail during overnight documentation tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during low-traffic hours
- Strong problem-solving skills for critical overnight decision-making
