Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and medical procedures
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Update and maintain electronic health records accurately
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely care delivery
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Active Texas Medical Assistant certification (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work flexible night shifts (7pm-7am)
