Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate vital signs, patient screenings, and initial intake procedures for night-shift patients.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations, procedures, and patient education.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation throughout the shift.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment for the upcoming clinical schedule.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests under the direct supervision of providers.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organized, and strictly adheres to safety and sanitation protocols.
- Manage patient inquiries and coordinate follow-up appointments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably within a hospital or outpatient facility.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively during the night shift with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Proficiency in standard medical software and computer systems.
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekends or holidays as required by departmental needs.
